Who you are dealing with

Hot Water Sorted is a trading name of Nexus Plumbing Limited (company number 6252667, NZBN 9429046007131), a registered plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying business in Auckland. We sell in trade, so the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 apply to consumer purchases.

Prices

All prices shown include GST and are for supply of the product only. They do not include installation, removal of your old cylinder, or any plumbing or electrical work.

We do our best to keep prices current, but supplier costs move. If a price on the site turns out to be wrong after you have paid, we will tell you before ordering the unit, and you can cancel for a full refund.

Orders and stock

We do not hold stock. Once you have paid, we order the unit from our supplier, confirm availability and ring you with a delivery date. An order is not accepted until we confirm it.

If we cannot supply what you ordered, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid in full.

Payment

Payment is taken online at checkout by Stripe, our card payment provider; we never see or store your card details. If you would rather pay by bank transfer, ask us for an invoice — the order is placed once payment clears. Every order comes with a GST receipt.

Installation is separate

Connecting a hot water cylinder is restricted sanitary plumbing work under the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Act 2006. It must be carried out by a licensed person.

If you ask us to install, that is a separate agreement quoted separately, and these terms of sale do not cover it. If you use your own plumber, the installation is between you and them.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

We are not liable for loss or damage arising from an installation we did not carry out, from a product being installed contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions, or from a cylinder being unsuitable for a site we were not asked to assess.
