The largest in the Haier range. Worth it for five or more people — but only for five or more. It draws too much to reuse an existing 15A cylinder circuit, so it needs a dedicated 20A supply, and at 710 mm across it is wider than a standard paver, so it wants a poured pad rather than sitting on slabs. Below five people the 250L is the better buy and we will tell you so.

Commercial installs get less. The figures above are for a single family dwelling. Renting the house out does not change that, and neither brand decides it by who lives there. What does change it is the use, or one cylinder serving more than one dwelling: a salon, a catering kitchen, a care facility, a block of flats on a single cylinder. In those cases the manufacturer's cover drops to 1 year on the cylinder and 1 year parts and labour.

The labour cover depends on who installs it. Manufacturers only honour it when the cylinder was connected by a licensed plumber. We are one, so if we fit it the full warranty stands.
